<image:title>Projects - Reflection, Refraction, Reaction</image:title>
<image:caption>This is second incarnation of the Reflect, Refract, React project. The work took a new direction through the production of much lighter reflective materials creating a rippling, bouncing movement in response to the body. Every nuanced movement becomes more gestural, the pace of movement distorts. These pieces were produced upon request request for the Blinkered jewellery catwalk show by @Work Gallery London.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Dark Matter is a collaborative project between Fiona Rourke and Holly Hewitt. The project won them the University of Brighton & Santander Most Innovative Product Award 2016 for their novel repurposing of butyl-runbber from the agriculture industry. This material was combined with distinctive flashes of colour and precious metals to create luxury sculptural jewellery.</image:caption>

<image:title>Projects - Tropezar presents Neoteny</image:title>
<image:caption>Neoteny refers to the juvenile tendencies in adults that need nurturing. As our lives become more weighted with responsibility it can be easy to lose sight of nuanced, playful interactions that are open-ended and lack consequence. In this project Tropezar creators Fiona and Holly seek to redress this balance using jewellery that encourages small moments of play. It is a gentle nod to Assemble Studio’s 2015 Exhibition The Brutalist Playground, a foam-based architectural reimagining of brutalist playground elements. After finding great joy in spending time in the brutalist foam structures the pair lovingly borrowed basic shapes and colours to inform their already partially-formed idea for interchangeable jewellery.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This is a small selection of different pieces that I co-designed with and for accessories brand House of Flora. I worked on several collections designing and making earrings and a few other pieces of jewellery to compliment Flora’s fabulous range of hats and acrylic jewellery. The work I made for Flora went to both Paris and London Fashion weeks with HOF, featured in magazines and was sold internationally. Photo credit M.Legare</image:caption>

<image:title>Projects - WABT and the Watermelon Party Game</image:title>
<image:caption>This is Joe, co-designer of the Watermelon Game. In this game participants are asked to make a new guest to come to Watermelon’s party. These are then translated into augmented reality interventions. Based on the extraordinary adventures of Joe and his imaginary friend Watermelon during Joe’s long stints of treatment in hospital. Packs include play dough, instructions and prompts for creating interesting new friends to bring to the party. We Are Better Together is a project exploring using tactile physical play and creative immersive technologies to improve communication between families, communities and individuals experiencing isolation. We work with healthcare and play specialists alongside lived experience families and technologists to create user-centric interventions that are co-authored by those who need it the most.</image:caption>

<image:title>Projects - Reflect, Refract, React</image:title>
<image:caption>Reflect, Refract, React strikes out from the static norm by using mirrors to adorn the body rather than view it in. The wearable mirrored pieces move and flow with body movement creating a performance of light and reflection. The intention is to establish a new and playful relationship with mirrors that shift the focus away from our reflections.</image:caption>
